There is a dexa scanner very close to my house, and it has been interesting to follow the trends in the composition of my body. For those of you who do not know, a dexa scan uses radiographs to scan your entire body and obtain a fairly precise evaluation of your body condition. It is much better than those smart scales. Usually, I register once a year.
To+ for me!
If I let others choose the name of my path, it would probably be great performance. In my training for the PCT, I got muscle and had fallen fat. The only negative is that muscle mass in my arms and legs was not as good as they recommend. But remember, muscle mass does not = muscle strength. You can’t have so much muscle and remain very strong.
What will happen to my body when I get to the PCT? I suspect that my T score (bone density measure) will increase. I hope you lose fat and win muscle, but that requires optimal nutrition and we know how difficult it can be on the road.
How did I train?
Well, help already maintain a quite fit training for triathlons. My last race was Alkatraz escape on June 1 and I ended up in mid -May of May Age Group. But here is my basic schedule:
Monday: 1 h bicycle, walk in the afternoon
Tuesday: swimming, weights
Wednesday (work day): 30 -minute trails from my home
Thursday (Work Day): Easy 30 minutes bike
Friday (work day): I am usually so erased from work at this point that I do a little yoga or a short walk
Saturday: Long Run with my career club (shout at MPRC!)
Sunday: Swimming technique class, weights, long ruck for the rest of the day.

I am not a professional (human) of health, but I can tell him that certain things will influence his results. Dexa measures muscle and fat mass, and that can be affected by the amount of glycogen stored in its muscles, as well as in its general state of hydration. Therefore, communicate with your Dexa provider before entering to make sure you get precise results.
