Robinson Bandon Rendon hit in the second half to achieve an unlikely victory for Bodoland on Punjab FC in the Sai Stadium in Kokrajhar in Group-D of the Durand Cup on Saturday.

The reverse also pulled curtains about the hope of Punjab FC to make the quarterfinals. The side ended with four points after three games.

Punjab FC immediately took the initiative with Nikhil Prabhu who led from the back and passing passes to midfield where Princeton Rebello pulled the strings. On the wings, Vishail and Suhail investigated on openings, so that Bodoland was stuck in their own half during the opening fairs.

The turning point came in the second half when GWGWMSAR Gayary delivered a teasing cross in the Punjab box. In the midst of the Scramble, the Colombian striker Rendon founded the rebound and shot the ball past goalkeeper Ravi Kumar, causing the home fans to shout.
