Eastern Bengal was signed in Group B in the AFC Women’s Champions League draw on Thursday.
Eastern beams, placed under the Pot 3 teams, will be accompanied by the Chinese Wuhan Jiangda WFC, Iran’s Bam Khatoon FC and PFC Nasbekistan while the Indian club is preparing for playing in the continental tournament for the first time in history.
East Bengal qualified for the group stage after beating Phnom Penh Crown 1-0 and 1-1 against Kitchee SC in the provisional phases.
Eastern Bengal, also known as the Moshal Girls, is the title defender of India after it won the Indian Women’s League, making it eligible to participate in the AFC Women’s Champions League.
