England have discovered their fixture list for the 2026 FIFA World Cup group stages, with the Three Lions set to open their campaign against Croatia in Dallas on June 17.
Thomas Tuchel’s team has been placed in Group L, together with Croatia, Ghana and Panama.
Croatia and Panama in particular are relatively familiar opponents for England, having met both teams at the 2018 World Cup. England defeated Panama 6–1 in the group stage of that tournament and were eventually eliminated by Croatia in the semi-finals of the tournament.
England and Croatia also met in the group stages of the 2020 UEFA European Championships, with England coming out on top 1-0 thanks to a Kalvin Phillips winner.
