England defender Guehi will leave Crystal Palace next year, the manager has confirmed

Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi has told the Premier League club he will leave next year, manager Oliver Glasner said.

The 25-year-old English defender’s contract with Palace runs until June 30, 2026.

«I think Marc has already told us that he (doesn’t want to) sign a new contract, so he will leave next year,» Glasner told reporters. «They offered Marc a new contract. But he said: no, I want to make something different. And that is normal.»

Guehi, who joined Palace in 2021 and has made more than 160 appearances for the London club, was due to move to Liverpool on deadline day last month in a 35 million pound ($46.98 million) contract but the transfer fell through.

Palace, which is sixth in the rankings, will host Bournemouth later on Saturday.
