Erling Haaland injury update: Pep Guardiola says Manchester City striker ‘feeling better’

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola confirmed on Tuesday that his star striker Erling Haaland is ‘feeling better’ ahead of a Premier League match against Nottingham Forest.

Haaland missed City’s Premier League match against Leeds United on Saturday after a minor setback in training.

«He (Haaland) is feeling much better. Yesterday we didn’t train. Today we did, so we will decide afterwards. Nico (O’Reilly) is the same, we will) decide after training,» Guardiola said at a pre-match press conference on Tuesday.

The Norwegian forward recently raised the issue during training, prompting the club’s medical staff to exercise caution as he was ‘not fully fit’, resulting in him being left out of City’s matchday squad against Leeds.

Haaland has been in productive form this season and currently leads the Premier League with 22 goals.
