The group stage of the European Championship for Women, which ended on Sunday, had record -breaking attendees with almost half a million fans who attended competitions and 22 of the 24 sold -out games.
In addition to 461,582 fans who attended matches, there were also various individual game records, according to the administrative body of European football, UEFA.
The Germany match against Denmark in Basel attracted 34,165 fans, which was the highest presence in a group game that was not involved in the host country and most spectators to attend a women’s football match in Switzerland.
The more than 17,000 fans from Germany at that match were the most away fans who a ladies ever attended, while the crowd of 34,063 in the Switzerland match against Norway was a record audience in a national team match for women.

«If it was not clear before, it cannot be denied now – women’s football cannot be stopped and stay here,» said Nadine Kessler, the head of the UEFA’s women’s football, in a statement.
«This is more than a tournament; it is a movement, and the reaction from all over Europe and beyond proves that women’s football is not only here to stay – it sets the new standard.»
Even before the tournament started, Euro 2025 had sold more than 600,000 tickets to surpass the 574,875 in 2022 in England.
About 60,000 fans participated in fan walks to the stadiums, including 14,000 Swiss and Icelandic supporters who walked three kilometers to that competition in the Stadium Wankdorf in Bern.
The tournament has also been a success on digital platforms, with 8.4 million commitments on its social media platforms, an increase of 55% compared to the same period in 2022.
Spain and England scored 14 goals per piece in the group stage, where the brand corresponds to the English in 2022. Jess Fishlock van Wales became the oldest ladies -euros goalkeeper at the age of 38 and 176 days.
The quarterfinals start on Wednesday in Geneva when Norway plays Italy.
