Former Premier League referee David Coote was forbidden for eight weeks and ordered a face-to-face education program to make offensive comments about Jurgen Klopp in a private video that was eventually spread on social media, which led to the competition that was dismissed.
An independent regulatory committee announced on Tuesday that it had imposed the new sanctions on Coote after a hearing.
Coote admitted to a football club to act «in an inappropriate way» and/or to use «offensive and/or offensive words» in a video recorded around July 2020.

Two videos, apparently filmed with the help of a telephone, circulated on social media and seem to show Coote that he gave his personal opinion about Liverpool and Klopp, his old former manager, when he was asked by a non-videntified man.
Coote uses an expletive for Liverpool and a different term for Klopp, and said he didn’t like the German manager because he was «arrogant» and «accused me of lying» after one game.
The FA Appeal, including a statement that the actions of Coote formed a «worsened violation of rules» because they have taken «a reference – explicitly or implicitly – to nationality.»
Coote was initially suspended for his behavior and was then fired in December because his position was considered by the Referee Body of English football after an investigation into his behavior.
