Fans of England furious after Agyemang was omitted from Royal Family Photo

The royal family of England is taken under fire from Lioness fans after a lucky message with photos of different players missed the young Star Michelle Agyemang.

The 19-year-old Agyemang, who is black, saved England on the edge with late goals in both their narrow quarter-finals victory over Sweden and the semi-final victory over Italy.

«I think that would never be intentional,» said English coach Sarina Wiegman, when he was asked about the omission in Saturday’s press conference. «I think the message of the royal family is that they really support us, and we really appreciate that. It is a pity that (AGYEMANG) is not in the picture, but there are all good intentions.»

The royal family placed their congratulations to reach the euro -final on various social media platforms.

«Your journey to this phase was nothing less than remarkable, with the skill, determination (and test of nerve!) For which your team is rightly celebrated,» said the message. “If I knew the fighting spirit of the lion ribbons, I suspect that we still have an exciting meeting on Sunday.

«Your performance will continue to inspire countless girls and women throughout the country, which again proves that everything is possible with dedication and teamwork. Good luck, England. If you roar again to victory.»

The royal family did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the post.

It contains a photo of the start 11 of England for a match earlier in the tournament and includes Jess Carter, who previously announced in the tournament that she came from social media after receiving racist abuse. The post also includes various other players in action.

The post was confronted with a protest from many fans on social media.

«Black women are not invisible. Let’s stop erasing them,» wrote Miriam Walkhan, the founder of Brown Girl Sport, on X.
