Fenerbahce draws PSG midfielder Marco Asensio on Permanent Deal


Parisian Saint-Germain game maker Marco Asensio has completed a transfer Deadline day from the transfer to the Turkish side Fenerbahce, both clubs confirmed on Monday.

«Our club has reached an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain for the permanent transfer of the Spanish midfielder Marco Asensio,» Fenerbahce posted on social media, without announcing the reimbursements involved.

«He has signed a 3+1 year contract and committed himself to our yellow and navy colors.»

The 29-year-old joined PSG from Real Madrid in 2023 after a trophy-charged saying in the Bernabeu, where he lifted three Champions League trophies and three La Liga titles.

Asensio spent the second half of last season on loan at Premier League side Aston Villa and scored eight goals in 21 performances in all competitions.

A Spanish international with 38 caps and two goals, asensio for the last time for his country in 2023.

He now joins Fenerbahce, who recently broke up with Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho after failing to qualify for the Champions League at the end of August.

According to Turkish media, the Istanbul Giants is also expected to confirm the signing of the Brazilian goalkeeper Niererson from Manchester City in the coming hours.
