Yousef Belaili scored in the 70th minute, and Espérance Sportive de Tunis defeated Lafc on Friday evening in the club World Cup to stay in battle and eliminate the California MLS team.
Lafc had a last chance to bind it to Dénis Bouanaga’s right -white shot in the 99th minute just before the front, but goalkeeper Béchir Ben Säid smothered it.
Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban were in the crowd of 13,651 at Geodis Park with 30,000 seats on a steaming late afternoon.
After a back and forth pace, Belaili continued with a shot with the right foot from the left side of the box to the left under corner through the legs of goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
