The 2026 FIFA World Cup kicks off on June 11, with co-hosts Mexico taking on South Africa at the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City.
The draw for the latest edition of the tournament, in which 48 countries will participate, was held on December 5, 2025 at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC.
The participating teams were divided into four pots based on their rankings and placed into twelve groups, named alphabetically from A to L.
After the European play-off matches, four more teams were determined: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czech Republic, Turkiye and Sweden.
