  • Walking today: 27.7 miles
    • Stevie Allagash /Quebec National Trail Alternate (255.6 – 283.3)
  • Total walking: 4,323.5 miles
  • Total rowing: 191.2 miles

Climate: 55 – 75 ° F, cloudy and cloudy with light rain, and got sunny during the day, after return to what was in the morning.

Dispersed camp in the municipal camp of Trois-Pistoles Municipal

I had no more than a few mice or squirrels that ran nearby. A deer also snorted. Light rain drops began during the last hour before I was completely woke up at my alarm at 5:00 am the package was gently and the rain stopped, so everything was dry but for my fly, which I attended outward.

The path began quite well in one of the cedar forests that I find so interesting. There has really been nothing on the trip. However, it did not last and soon entered the things of high waste.

There is a path somewhere.

After a while, I arrived at a road, I saw more of the bad paths of paths on the other side and made the decision to make more walks on the road through a section.

Returning to the path, without knowing it at that time, I made a fairly unfortunate mistake, but also lucky. I had become early and the direction returned where I had camped. On the contrary, one could say … not the direction in which I want to go … the wrong way!

Both the paths to the south and the north went to the road here, both from the left side, but each one was on different sides of a bridge. Another Stevie fool gets messy. Anyway, it worked because I could see an impressive waterfall and a River gorge that would otherwise have lost me. The only inconvenience was that I left quite out of my way to make a loop and join the path ahead. I thought, but I expected that a detour was not enough to deter me from reaching my final goal during the day.

Here is the difficult bridge that cheated me. I wasn’t really paying attention.

Leaving the wrong way.

But … it would have been really sad to have lost this!

I went out to a gravel path for a while and it was pleasant cultivation lands …

And then I got on the road again after 11:00 am the next piece, the Trois-Pistols river would follow. Most was pleasant, but as before there was a healthy portion of stupid things at random too. And hidden there were some beautiful interesting scenes.

When leaving the road, I crossed the bridge and obtained this view, then cut the forest.

Another shelter is also available to rent. I think it was about $ 30 and I had to say, quite pleasant inside. Very clean and well cared for.

Finally I began to get some views of the river and access, but most of the time I walked in the dense forest.

I have been seeing this vibrant orange flower, but the petals always seemed to seem slightly withered. Maybe this is how they look?

I looked out, «Oh, yes!», Seeing this perfectly open path. It was sadly shortly.

Instead, today there were parts that made me walk to the edge of these cultivated fields. However, there were no crops only in the brush.

Usually, quite solid signage and the path of path at all times.

Rest for lunch.

This bridge marked the end of the path for the day. I came a change to my route to include a grocery store, so I left the snq a little and I had more rural roads.

When climbing, I went up to a hill that looked west. There, I obtained my first distant view of the St. Lawrence river on the horizon.

After a few miles, I turned left and headed to the city of Trois-Pistols, Quebec. The great church or cathedral stood out immediately. I visited the meter groceries to replenish and then put the subway next to dinner. At the counter, I stayed blank when I murmured my phrase of «Je Ne Parle Pas Français» (I don’t speak French), but I only got as far as, «je», when the young man asked me if he wanted me to speak English. I laughed and then I told him my order.

In honor of Alanis Morissette, I assumed that he is in fact Canadian, I think.

I arrived at the camp around 6:30 pm and I was very happy with that moment for this great day. This time I did not have a reservation, but the type of reception also spoke a good English and in a short time I walked to my «no services» site. For almost all the camps that I have found, you pay more for each service, such as the connection of water, or electric, etc., so I am always choosing that there are no services, but I still have access to a bath and a spike.

After configuring, I went and connected my energy bank and shower. I am dominating the art of drying without a towel. Then, it was a late dinner and in the tent when the rain began to drip on me slightly.

I found a closer view of the mass river. It seemed to be influenced by the tide and low tide.

Not too bad, huh?
