Barcelona coach Hansi Flick will be in the Dugout on Thursday for their Champions League opener in Newcastle United after successful appeal to a suspension of one match that threatened him to put him aside for the first European match of his party this season.
The German manager and his assistant Marcus Sorg had received a bans of one game from UEFA for their behavior during the semi-final second stage of last season, where Barcelona was eliminated in extra time in a dramatic 4-3 defeat.

UEFA confirmed on Friday that Barcelona’s profession was partially maintained, so that both coaches can take their place on the bank against Newcastle, although they will remain under the watchful eye of the administrative body of European football for the next 12 months.
«The suspension was suspended for a probationary period of one (1) year, starting from the date of the current decision,» UEFA said in a statement.
Flick had been furious with various referee decisions during the semi-final Hartzeer van Barcelona who denied his first Champions League-last in a decade, with his animated protests on the touchline that eventually landed him in hot water with the disciplinary committee of UEFA.
