Striker Jamie Vardy joined Serie A Side Cremonese, said the Italian club on Monday and launched a new chapter for the 38-year-old after his 13-year-old spell in Leicester City ended in May.
He joins the club for a deal until June next year, with an option to expand whether certain conditions are met.
Vardy scored his 200th goal for Leicester at the age of 500 and last for the club on the penultimate day of last season, and brought his career there for the Thuis fans 13 years to the day after he had signed.
The Englishman was part of the Leicester side that caused a huge upset by winning the Premier League title in 2016 among the Italian manager Claudio Ranieri and won the FA Cup in 2021.

Vardy received a warm welcome in Italy on Sunday and signed signatures on his arrival, with fans, some already sporty tattoos of the player’s face, who ‘takes us to Europe’.
The most important target of the promoted club for this season is Serie A Survival, but the promising start, together with the arrival of Vardy, has given the supporters reason to dream.
Cremonese has won his opening of two games, including a surprise 2-1 win over AC Milan in the San Siro, together with a 3-2 victory against fellow promoted Sassuolo side on Friday.
