Ghanaian footballer Dominic Frimpong killed in attack on Berekum Chelsea team bus


Berekum Chelsea winger Dominic Frimpong was killed in an armed robbery of his side’s team bus as they returned from a Ghana Premier League match at Samartex on Sunday, the Ghana Football Association said.

The robbers shot at the bus as it tried to reverse, hitting 20-year-old Frimpong in the head. He later died in hospital and is the only reported casualty of the incident.

“The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has received with deep shock and deep sadness the tragic news of the passing of Dominic Frimpong of Berekum Chelsea Football Club,” the organization said.
