Haaland scores five as Norway Moldova 11-1 in FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifying match

The Erling Haaland van Norway scored five goals and replaced Thelo Baasgaard added four more while the unfortunate Moldova hammered 11-1 to take a huge step in the direction of the qualification for the World Cup final for the first time since 1998.

With five games played, the Noren Top Group I on 15 points, six for the second place Italy, which has a match in hand. The worst defeat of Moldova leaves it without points on the bottom of the group.

The group winner automatically qualifies for next year’s World Cup, while second place goes in a play-off.

Haaland’s beautiful pillows pass Ted Up Felix Horn Myhre to break the impasse with a sixth minute tap-in, and Martin Odegaard should have made it two per minute later, but he blow the ball up close.

The Norwegians did not have to wait long for another goal, while Haaland rattled home in the 11th minute, breaking a loose ball into the box and wiping in the far corner.

Haaland hit his second home to complete a Norwegian counterattack in the 36th minute and completed his hat trick for the break.

Moldova Keeper Cristian Avram forced him to go wide, but Haaland recovered the ball easily and brilliantly in the distant pole to bring the score to 4-0.

Odegaard yielded a fifth in the first half of the stopping time, and seven minutes in the second half Haaland struck again and scored his fourth with a header while Norway Oproer for his home fans.

Replacement Baasgaard struck twice, both sides of Leo Ostigard’s own goal, and he received his hat trick from the penalty spot in the 79th minute before Haaland added the 10th goal in five world cup qualifications.

Baasgaard completed the routes with a flicked finish in the second half of the stop time.
