The Indian Super League champion Mohun Bagan Super Giant has slowly but steadily prepared for the Durand Cup, the oldest football competition in Asia, now played as an invitational tournament.
It opened his campaign with a 3-1 victory over Mohammedan Sporting and then defeated the Border Security (BSF) football team with 4-0.

How can Mohun Bagan qualify for the quarterfinals?
Although Mohun Bagan can qualify as a second team, it has a chance to earn a direct qualification for the quarterfinals through the match against Diamond Harbor.
