Lake Cascapédia Campground to Mont-Albert Discovery Center

Before starting the walk today, they treated me with scrambled eggs with peppers, onions and coffee with the equipment. It was great! Then I could start walking from the site. Our plan was to meet at the end of the day in another camp where the path crosses the 299 highway.

He quickly went out to the camp and in a short time I walked again in the forest. The first section was approximately 2.5 miles to earn approximately 1,500 feet and reach the upper part of 3,248 feet Mont Ells.

Lake Alain-Potvin

Once up there, I obtained a cell service and a view through the trees of the Cascapédia lake. I think I got to my phone above my head to break the photo below. I took a good rest to catch up with some things from the phone before continuing.

Thinking again, I found my way at 3,117 feet Mont du Milieu.

When there were still some views, but it was many forest walks.

Around 1:00 pm I stop for a fast lunch. Then, things lit me. The other side of the current he had been eating near was a completely different world. Instead of the bulk first that had been happening, things opened. And I began to see a gold-colored rock bed orangualh-Orangish-Orangish-Orangish light for the first time.

This shows the landscape covered with trees through which he had been walking from the point of view of the new opening he was entering.

For some reason, the riolite reached my very informed and amateur geologist brain. Later, I would try to look for it and the best thing I can say is serpentine. This threw me because my souvenir of serpentine was that it was mainly a greenish dark rock. Apparently, these things by Mont Albert are oranges although 🤷.

At first, the path stayed along the edge of the division and I could observe the opposite landscapes. Then, I went up to the Alpine area and it was a unique sensation. It was really remarkable and, although I tried for all of you, I feel that I still struggled to get photos or videos that you feel. I guess everyone will have to make a pilgrimage to Gaspésie …

The general land was very flat around here. And the moss seemed to be the dominant terrestrial cover for most, although it was a different type of moss than the things of the bright green in the forest. Here it is almost bleached. I think that is part of the particularly distinctive environment of the area.

I was going quite slow here. Taking everything. Some of the other vegetarians were pines with thickets (I took some photos of the different varieties), short shrubs of blueberries and herbs.

There were only some of these types of trees in the scarce open lands, but when I began to descend, this species grew the highest and abundant.

I am not sure how long I was on that flat plateau, maybe only half an hour about hiking, but left a lasting impression. Near the «other side», when I appeared, I saw a kind of deep cannon. And that is where the path was directed, below, down, to the valley surrounded by orange cliff mountains. Now, it was slow not only for being captivated and taking photos from left to right, but also because it was a hard trace of rock jumps …

IAT Gaspésie National Park: Part 2 (Day 234)

Walking on this section, I stayed behind and jumped a little with some fast hikers. Actually, there were some different groups that seem to want to compete with me. I was surprised. Even being motivated when trying to get to the road at a decent moment, these people were surpassing me. The path was still a rock most of the road. Finally, it leveled and became a pristine condition.

Lac du devil.

I met dad outside the Mont-Albert Center from Decouverte et de Services, a building type of central visitors, and that is where I finished my walk for the day. Our moment for the meeting was quite good, which was surprising since we were both late to what we had previously agreed. We were able to walk to the camp they had reserved, a short distance.

In the dinner menu were these delicious aluminum aluminum creations that I grew up during camping outputs. Essentially, you stack a lot of things inside the aluminum sheet such as rice, chicken, vegetables, and I think it is a chicken soup cream that stifled everything. Then, it wraps it strongly and is placed in the coals of the fire (or in our situation, coal) to heat up.

Maybe you are thinking: «Wow! The Trailsman and the Super Strider are extraordinary of campaign stores.» They are, that is safe, but I must say that this is not common for them in recent years. During most of my life, my parents have been campers of Camper Trailer/RV Style, so already on these two campaign nights, it feels like a return to our roots of the old school … a little more of «disagreement» than normal.

He had counted in this area crossing the 299 highway as a replenishment. Originally, before knowing about the formation of our communion, I thought I would have to do self-to the coastal city of Sainte-Anne-De-Monts to find a grocery store. However, in the camp, I discovered that I could get enough food for the next two days with all the snacks and food in the car.

After another small and short fire session, it was an early night for stores. The entire crew was very tired. Ma and Pa had made some serious walks during the day, and saw an alce and waterfalls and had a very steep path section. However, a good day everywhere.

Thanks for joining the trip! It means a lot that you took the time to read these adventures. I love spending time and connecting to the natural world and I am very grateful for these experiences. However, not everyone has the resources to do so.

So, if you want to help all children to get outdoors, a cause that means a lot to me, please help me support Empowerment with outdoors! The «Council author» button is a direct link to my fund collection page. You are really incredible. Thank you.
