India beats Hertha BSC in a friendly match as part of preparations for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup


The Indian senior team defeated Hertha BSC Frauen in a friendly match at the S&B Sport Football Complex in Antalya on Monday.

Grace Dangmei scored the only goal of the match in the 37th minute to secure the victory. See also: reference source. The match was part of the team’s ongoing preparatory camp in Turkiye ahead of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup in March.

India will next take on Russia’s Zvezda-2005 Perm on February 4, before taking on Romania’s FK Csíkszereda Miercurea Ciuc on February 7 reference source.

India had previously played two friendlies, losing 0-2 to Ukrainian side FC Metalist 1925 on January 18, before beating Swiss side FC Schlieren 2-1 on January 24.

The team will leave Turkiye for Perth, Australia on February 10, where it will play more friendly matches in the run-up to the continental tournament reference source.

India’s first match of the Asian Cup is against Vietnam on March 4.
