India consolidated its position at the top of group B in the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026 qualifications with an impressive 5-0 win over Iraq on Wednesday in the 700-year anniversary stadium in Chiang Mai.
After the defeat, Iraq joins Mongolia and Timor-Leste, while the teams eliminated the position for a place in the continental tournament of this group.
Goals of Sangita Basfore, Manisha Kalyan, Karthika Angamuthu, Nirmala Devi and Ratanbala Devi took the blue tigers to nine points of three games.
India will be confronted against Thailand – which will play Mongolia later in the day – in his last qualifying match, a match that will decide the group winner.
