India recorded its worst FIFA rankings in almost a decade after the Asian Cup qualification debacle

Indian football’s nightmare on the international stage continued as the senior men’s team slipped further to 136 in the latest FIFA rankings.

It is India’s worst ranking since November 24, 2016, and piles more misery on a side already out of contention for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the 2027 AFC Asian Cup.
