India Squad for AFC U-23 Asian Cup qualifications: Mohun Bagan players Absent

India Under-23 National Team Head Coach Naushad Moosa, on Sunday, announced a team of 23 members for the AFC U-23 Asian Cup qualifications in Doha, Qatar.

India is signed in Group H of the qualifications, where the Bahrain plays (September 3), host Qatar (September 6) and Brunei Darussalam (September 9). The group winner and the four best second placed teams from the 11 groups are eligible for the AFC U-23 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026.

The India U23s had closed two friendly matches against Iraq U23s in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia earlier this month. Moosa’s boys lost both games (1-2 and 1-3).

Defenders: Bikash Yumnam, Pramveer, Muhammed Saheef Aresinte Purakkal, Harsh Arun Palande, Subham Bhattacharya, Ricky Meetie Haobam

Midfielders: Soham Naveen Varshneya, Lalrinliana Hnamte, Mohammed Sanan, Mohammed Sanan, Mohammed Sanan, Mohammed Sanan, Mohammed Sanan K, Christian Mohanan K, Johnmed Sanan Vinith Venkateshhhhhhhhhhhhh
