Anahat Singh participates in the final of Squash on Fire Open
Anahat Singh reached her first PSA Bronze final at the Squash on Fire Open in Washington with a 3-1 win over Sabrina Sobhy (USA).
The Indian world number 31 and seventh seed won 11-9, 11-3, 9-11, 11-5 against the American world number 23 in the semi-finals, and will face top seed and world number 10 Georgina Kennedy of England for the title.

Mumbai Open: Peangtarn Plipuech of Thailand eliminates Ankita Raina
Ankita Raina crashed during the Mumbai Open WTA 125K Series qualifiers at the Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association (MSLTA).
Meanwhile, Peangtarn Plipuech, Matsuda Misaki, Zuzzana Pawlikowska and Kristiana Sidorova recorded notable victories to book their places in the main draw.
In a hard-fought encounter, Indian Olympian Ankita Raina came up against Peangtarn Plipuech. The Thailand international managed to cross the line 6-2, 1-6, 6-4 in a match that lasted 2 hours and 39 minutes on center court.

Punjab Men’s Clean Sweep Junior Skeet T2 Trials
Punjab shooters made it to the podium in the Junior Men’s Skeet T2 finals with Harviraj Singh, Harazeez Singh Atwal and Gurfateh Singh Sandhu taking the top three spots respectively in the Shotgun National Selection Trials 1 & 2 being held in New Delhi at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range.
Anantjeet Singh Naruka scored a perfect score of 36 to overtake Jyotiraditya Singh Sisodiya to win the final of Trials 2, while Yashasvi Rathore missed just one chance to win the women’s Trials 2 to secure the top spot.
In the women’s final, Yashasvi Rathore missed just one target to secure first place with a score of 35, ahead of Parinaaz who finished with 33 hits. Olympian Maheshwari Chauhan took the third spot with a score of 29.

Shubhankar finishes 57th in Bahrain
Indian Shubhankar Sharma made five bogeys in the last eight holes, falling to a 74 in the final round and finishing tied for 57th at the Bahrain Championship.
Sharma (66-70-75-74), who had an excellent start on the first two days, finished with a total of 3-under after being 8-under on the final day at the turn.
Earlier, Yuvraj Sandhu missed the cut in his second start on the DP World Tour.

The Indian Under-17 men’s team will play a stalemate against Tajikistan
The India Under-17 men’s team drew 0-0 against Tajikistan in a friendly match behind closed doors at the PJN Stadium in Fatorda, Goa on Sunday.
This was the second of two friendlies, after the first, which India won 4-2 on Thursday.
The Blue Colts are currently preparing for the AFC U-17 Asian Cup to be played in Saudi Arabia in May. The draw for the group stage will take place on February 12.
