Anahat awarded Junior Asian Squash Champion

India emerged as the best performing nation at the 32nd Asian junior individual championships 2025 after achieving two gold medals, two silver medals and three bronze medals.

The top-ranking Anahat Singh and AyaVeer Dewan were at the forefront by winning gold medals in the girls under 19 and boys among the 17 categories. While Anahat Cheung TC defeated Van Hong Kong 3-0 (11-7, 11-2, 11-8), the top-set Nickhileswar of Malaysia surpassed 3-0 (11-5, 11-8, 11-3).

The silver medal winners of India were Ayaan D and Saanvi K in the boys under the age of 13 and girls under 15 sections.

Anika Dubey (girls under 17), Aryaman Singh (boys under 15), Amarya Bajaj (boys under 13) won the bronze medal for India.

Diksha hangs in Irish Open to make the 11th cut in a row

In the second round Diksha Dagar has carded an even par 73 to appear as the lonely Indian to open the KPMG Women’s Irish in Kildare.

Diksha, who had no par in her first six holes, was bound 56th after two rounds.

It was Diksha’s 11th cut in a row. The 24-year-old from Jhajjar, the highest ranked Indian in the Ladies European Tour, has shown great consistency with five top 10 Finishes, including a second place in Morocco.

The other three Indians who opened the Irish open missed the cut when Avani Prashanth (74) fell short by one battle and TVesa Malik (78) and Hitashhee Bakshi (83) were far behind.

Diksha started on the first with a bogey, but gathered very well with three birdies in a row. She continued with a Bogey-Birdie on the fifth and the sixth. She had seven pars in a row and despite Bogeys on the 14th and 16th Diksha with two pars for a 73 to make the cut on the line.

The cut fell at +2 with 69 players who came through the weekend.

Sharma, Ahlawat miss the cut in Germany

The Indian duo of Shubhankar Sharma and Veer Ahlawat missed the cut at the BMW International Open in Golfclub Munich Eichenried in Munich.

Sharma shot 74-68 on a total two-under for two rounds and missed the cut with one when he finished T-69, while Ahlawat tasted the same and also missed by one shot.

It was the seventh missed cut in a row for Sharma, while Ahlawat missed three and withdrew into the last six starts. His best was T-13 in Austria and he was T-73 in Italy.

Bhullar, making ajeetesh cut in Morocco; Miss nine Indians

Gaganjeet Bhullar and Ajeetesh Sandhu were the only Indians who made the cut on the USD 2 million international series Morocco, while nine others bowed in the halfway through the stage in Rabat, Morocco.

Bhullar, the most successful Indian golfer on the Asian tour, made an Even-PAR 73 after his opening round 72 to be one under 145 after 36 holes, making him 36 on the Par-73 Royal Golf Dar Es Salam Course.

In the meantime, Sandhu added a 73 to his first round 74 to be one-over and simply scrape through the 61st when the cut fell on one.

Among the Indians who miss the cut was Khalin Joshi (74-74), who shot shortly due to a lonely shot. Others who broke up early were Rashid Khan (77-72), s Chikkaranga (75-75), SSP Chawrasia (74-76), Yuvraj Sandhu (76-74), Rahil Gangjee (75-75), Viraj Madappa (78-76), and 78-76 )j (78-75) (79-79).

Ultimate Kho Kho (UKK), the first professional Kho Kho League of India, announced the appointment of Dhiraj Parasher as new Chief Executive Officer prior to the season 3 that started on November 29, 2025.

Parasher brings experience with sport, entertainment, advice and brand development for more than two decades. He was also involved in organizing major events, including the Commonwealth Games 2010 in New Delhi.

Asian Para Archery Championships: India Bags Two Team Gold Medals

Indian Archers claimed two team of gold medals in the Asian para -bow shooting championships in Beijing on Saturday.

Jyoti and Sheetal Devi combined to beat the Chinese Zhao Jing and Zhang Lu 148-143 in the final to win the composite Ladies Open Team title.

Harvinder Singh and Bhawna defeated China’s Gan Jun and Gao Cihan with 5-4 (Shoot-Off: 14-8) to secure the recurve mixed team open crown.

Indian archers, however, lost in three finals of the Chinese to take silver.

Rakesh Kumar and Shyam Sunder Swami were defeated 156-155 by AI Xinliang and Zhang Yicheng in the Compound Men’s Open Team event. Jyoti and Rakesh were defeated 153-150 by Zhao Jing and Xinliang in the compound mixed team Open Title Clash. Harvinder and Vivek Chikara lost 5-4 (Shoot-Off: 18-17) of the Chinese Gan and Zhao Lixue in the Recurve Men’s Open Team Gold Medal Match.

Asian Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championships: Bhavani and Mansi Claims Twin Gold for India

Bhavani Reddy and Mansi Chamunda have caught gold and bronze medals in 48 kg youth and junior categories for women, respectively, in the Asian youth Junior Weightlifting Championships in Astana.

Bhavani was a total of 159 kg (Snatch 69 kg, clean and glans 90 kg), while Mansi 166 kg collected (Snatch 74 kg, clean and acorn 92 kg). Dharmajyoti Devgharia took the silver in the youth of Heren 56kg with a total of 222 kg (Snatch 96 kg, clean and glans 126 kg).

Oost-Bengal FC is pleased to announce that experienced midfielder Souvik Chakrabarti has signed a two-year contract extension and committed his future to the club until the end of the 2026-27 season.

A cornerstone of the Red & Gold Brigade, Souvik was part of the team’s leadership core since he joined Hyderabad FC in 2022. The seasoned midfielder has made 65 topplight performances for the Red & Golds, with a clock of 4,601 minutes. He also registered a goal and an assist during his Stint in East Bengal.

In the 2024-25 season, Souvik played in 28 games in all games and played more than 2,149 minutes. He scored his only goal in Red & Gold colors in the 4-0 win against Bashundhara Kings in the AFC Challenge League group match last season in Thimphu.
