Indian Endurance Cyclist sets the National Record in Poland
India’s Ultra-ensturance Cyclist John Gwite has established a national record during the Race around Poland (RAP)-one of the most demanding events in the world-in less than 10 days.
Gwite ended the 3,600 km course in 237 hours (9 days, 9 pm) to improve the previous Indian record of 274 hours. More than 60 international ultracyclists participated in the event.
The race runs around the circumference of Poland with a high -profit of more than 31,000 m. The participants competed solo and not supported. There were no team cars and no external help.
The rap is recognized as one of Europe’s most difficult ultra-and-and-and-and-threatening bicycle events and a qualification for the race throughout America.

Karan Singh becomes India’s number 2 arranged player
Karan Singh has risen to a career-high ranking of World No. 426 in the latest ATP rankings, making him the second ranked Indian singles player, just behind India’s No.1 Sumit Nagal (World No. 307).
With a jump of 11 place from 437, Karan has claimed number 2 among Indian men in the rankings of the ATP singles.

«This ranking jump is a reward for the resilience, discipline and consistent versions of Karan in recent months,» says Aditya Sachdeva, technical director of Roundglass Tennis Academy.
Karan has been progressing steadily since his Davis Cup debut win for India in February 2025, where he helped the team to seal a 4-0 win in the World Group I Play-Off. He is currently part of the ATP Challenger Tour Swing in India, using these higher tournaments to push to further ATP ranking gain.

East -Bengal signs Defender Martand Raina van Rajasthan United FC
East Bengal FC has signed defender Martand Raina van Rajasthan United FC on a three -year contract, the club announced on Wednesday.
Last season in the I-League, Raina made 21 performances, clocked 1,766 minutes and scored four goals in the process. He was also the highest scoring center-back in the tournament.
«I am honored to become a member of a club with such a rich inheritance and passionate fan base. I am no stranger to Bengalian football after I had represented Adamas United before,» said Raina.
«This is a huge opportunity for me if I look forward to contributing to the success of East Bengal and making the supporters proud of my performances,» he added.

Asian U-20 championships: Varun, Rohit Clinch Silver
Indian Greco Roman Wrestlers, Varun (63 kg) and Rohit (87 kg), landed silver medals on Wednesday at the Asian championships under 20 in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
Varun was beaten 8-0 by the local favorite Emirlan Dishenaliev, while Rohit was defeated 3-1 by Kazakhstan’s Temirlan TurdaKyn in their respective final.
Nitin (55 kg) and Joginder Rathee (130 kg) lost their bronze medal matches.
