Indian squad for AFC U-20 Women’s Asian Cup 2026: Full list of players, backroom staff

India head coach Joakim Alexandersson has named a 23-member squad for the upcoming AFC Under-20 Women’s Asian Cup in Thailand.

India, who qualified for the tournament after two decades, will start their campaign with a match against Japan (April 2, 6:30 PM IST at Thammasat Stadium), followed by Australia (April 5, 2:30 PM IST at Pathum Thani Stadium) and Chinese Taipei (April 8, 2:30 PM IST at Pathum Thani Stadium).

The Young Tigresses arrived in Bangkok on March 20 and had 13 days to acclimatize to local conditions. The traveling contingent consisted of 24 players, with defender Alka Indwar now released as Alexandersson finalized his 23-player squad for the final tournament.

India had started its current training camp in Bengaluru in January after the conclusion of the first phase of the IWL. Later, the team had a month-long camp in Sweden, where it played five friendly matches against the senior teams of Swedish club teams. After returning from Scandinavia, the Young Tigresses continued their training in Kolkata before heading to Thailand’s capital.
