The Indian Efootball (console) team, also known as the Eigers, will start its campaign in the FIFAE World Cup 2025 Regional Online Qualifiers (ROQ). Competing in the Asia East & Oceania zone, the qualifications run from 24 to 27 September.
India’s four-member team-abhishek Dhar, Chinmay Sahoo, Ibrahim Gulrez and Mahendra Chawda-Is signed in group A next to Malaysia, Thailand, Guam, Myanmar, Macau, Bhutan and Brunei Darussam.
The schedule was completed after domestic qualifications on September 6, where Gulrez and Sahoo emerged as winners, while Chawda and Dhar finished second.
The group phase follows a double Round-Robin classification, with all the matches that are played as the best-of-one. The top four teams continue to the knockout phase, with a double elimination bridge. Knock-out tires are best-of-two, decided to aggregated scores. The two winners of the semi -final of the upper bracket and the winner of the lower bracket round 3 will hit their cards for the prestigious Fifae final in Riyad in December.
