India’s Manisha Kalyan joins four-time Peruvian champion Alianza Lima Femenino

Peruvian Alianza Lima Femenino has signed Indian midfielder Manisha Kalyan from PAOK FC, the club announced on Friday.

«The Alianza Lima women’s team announces the signing of Manisha Kalyan, an Indian midfielder who will strengthen the team’s attack. The player comes from PAOK FC in Greece, where she played at the highest level of European football,» the four-time Peruvian champions said in an official statement.

Alianza Lima Femenino becomes the third foreign club in Manisha’s career. After playing for Sethu FC and Gokulam Kerala at home, the 24-year-old joined Cyprian club Apollon Ladies FC in 2022. She became the first Indian footballer to participate in the UEFA Women’s Champions League. She scored 14 goals in 36 games for Apollon Ladies.

In 2024, Manisha joined Greek club PAOK FC, where she played 23 matches and scored eight times.

«I am very happy to be here. I have been following the team and I like their playing style. I am very excited about this new challenge. My focus is on always giving 100 percent, winning every match and helping the team achieve its goals,» Manisha said after signing for Alianza Lima Femenino.
