The first FIFA Talent Academy for Girls from India was launched in Hyderabad after the All India Football Federation (AIFF) and the Government of Telangana a Memorandum of Agreement (MOU) on Saturday during the First Telangana Sports Conclave signed in the Hyderabad International Convention Center.
Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy was present, together with Aiff President Kalyan Chaubey and Jayesh Ranjan, main secretary, I&C and IT, government of Telangana. Other eminent dignitaries, sports leaders and policy makers also attended the event.

The initiative is an important part of the FIFA’s Talent Development Scheme (TDS) and will help with giving elite training to talented footballers scouted from different parts of the country, which strengthens India’s dedication to inclusive and structured Grassroots development.
The Academy will be located in the Gachibowli Stadium complex in Hyderabad and offers powerful training all year round, with residential facilities, education, medical care, food and mental well-being to 60 elite players-30 boys (U14) and 30 girls (U16), including 10 players from Telangana in each category.

Chaubey said: «The launch of India’s first FIFA Talent Academy for Girls and Second Academy for Boys marks a determining moment in our journey to fair football development. This collaboration with the government of Telangana, under Fifa’s Global Talent Development Scheme, mainly reflects and empowing young talent from young talent.»
