Inter Kashi FC on Tuesday officially announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the development of an international-level football stadium in the heart of Varanasi, a move that provides the club with long-term clarity at a time of continued uncertainty in Indian football.
The agreement was signed between the holding company of the club, M/s. Avimukta Sports Private Limited and CM Anglo Bengali College, a collaboration made possible by the support of the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
The new stadium will be located in Bhelupur, less than a kilometer from the holy Kedar Ghat on the banks of the Ganga. Under the terms of the MOU, the College will make the site available to Inter Kashi to transform into a world-class sports facility.
The stadium is being prepared to host top domestic and international matches, making Inter Kashi only the second club in the country after Jamshedpur FC to have a dedicated home venue capable of hosting elite-level competition.
This development marks a turning point for the region and promises to raise the profile of football in Northern India and provide local fans with a professional atmosphere to support their team in their historic home city.
