FC Goa will look to continue its unbeaten run when they face Punjab FC in the Indian Super League 2025-26 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Monday.
FC Goa are unbeaten in their first four matches of the season with two wins and as many draws, and will face Punjab FC, who are also unbeaten in their last two matches. In the previous round, FC Goa played out a goalless draw against East Bengal FC in Kolkata, while Punjab were held to a 1-1 draw by NorthEast United FC in New Delhi.
FC Goa head coach Manolo Marquez said ahead of the match: «Against East Bengal, the team played with a lot of personality and retained possession for long periods. Against Punjab, we would like to continue playing in the same way. The atmosphere in the dressing room is very good and that will help the team move in the right direction.»
Punjab FC could not find the winner in the previous match against NorthEast United despite dominating the match for most of the periods.

Punjab FC head coach Panagiotis Dilperis said, «We need faster decision-making and better quality in our final actions. In the last match, we delivered the ball into the opponent’s penalty area 26 times while they entered ours only twice. We need to improve our finishing and decision-making to convert those chances into goals.»
Speaking about the opposition, the Greek coach added: «FC Goa are a very good team with a clear plan and strong players. Our aim is to continue the defensive performances of the previous matches, limit their chances near our box and improve our finishing so that we can score goals.»
FC Goa have never lost to Punjab FC in the ISL and will be hoping to maintain that record, while Punjab FC will be looking for its first win in the competition. FC Goa is likely to miss Muhammed Nemil and Mohammad Yasir due to injury, while Punjab FC is also expected to be without captain Nikhil Prabhu and forward Muhammad Suhail.
