Odisha FC has confirmed Kalinga Stadium as its home venue for the 2025-26 season of the Indian Super League (ISL).
The club previously had a multi-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Odisha government to use the Kalinga Stadium as its home ground. However, the contract expired last year and uncertainty surrounding the 2025–26 season led the club to cease its first-team activities.
Although the ISL standoff ended earlier this year when the competition started on February 14, the club was unable to confirm the home venue in time. As a result, the opening match against Punjab FC on February 16 was postponed.
But an agreement has now been reached between the Odisha government and Odisha FC, with all players arriving at the facility on Wednesday. However, discussions for the next season are still ongoing.
«Yes, preparations for the new season are in full swing and Odisha will host matches where it has played its home matches so far. Most of the players have arrived and the club will start training in full swing tomorrow or the day after,» a source privy to the developments told Sportstar.
Odisha FC, which initially started as Delhi Dynamos in 2014, shifted its base to Bhubaneswar in 2019 and has remained there ever since.
It won the AIFF Super Cup in 2023 and finished second in the same tournament and the Bhausaheb Bandodkar Memorial Trophy a year later.
Odisha FC will open the 2025/26 season against Inter Kashi at the Kalinga Stadium on February 24.
