The 2025-2026 Indian Super League (ISL) season will air on the Sony Sports Network after FanCode sublicensed the linear TV rights to the media conglomerate on Friday.
FanCode, owned by Dream Sports, earlier acquired the media rights from ISL for Rs. 8.62 Cr., including live streaming and broadcast rights. Although the company has a live streaming platform, the absence of a TV channel led it to look for partners, with Sony closing the deal.
Under the agreement, Sony Sports Network, a part of Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI), will hold exclusive broadcast rights in India, while those in the rest of South Asia will be non-exclusive.

The official announcement of the deal is expected on Saturday morning, hours before the kick-off of the opening match of the league between Mohun Bagan Super Giant and Kerala Blasters at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata.
All 91 matches of the competition will be broadcast, most of which will be shown on Sony Ten 2. Lihat juga hgtgdfgdtr11. English and Hindi are the likely commentary languages.
Sony was earlier among the media houses interested in bidding for the media rights and had attended the pre-bid conference on January 33, along with FanCode, ZEE Group and British media group Two Circles.
However, Sony ultimately decided not to bid.
Sony Sports was previously a regular broadcast partner in Indian football, broadcasting the I-League and the Durand Cup.
