Italy had the upper hand in a whirlwind match to beat Israel 5-4 in his world cup qualification in Hungary on Monday after the Italians scored two goals, twice from behind and awarded a late equalizer, but spent a victory to stay on hunting in group I.
Italy fell at the back of the 16th minute when Manuel Locatelli put the ball in his own net. Moise Kean won five minutes from the break, but Israel went through Dor Peretz again in the 52nd minute.

Kean again featured within two minutes and Matteo Politano put Italy in the front in the 58th. Giacomo Raspadori seemed to have sealed the victory for nine minutes, but Alessandro Bastoni’s own goal After 87 minutes, Israel gave a lifeline.
Peretz scored the equalizer in the 89th and Italy looked like a draw before Sandro Tonali took a winner in extra time.
The victory of Italy puts it in second place in the group on nine points, for Israel on target difference with a game in hand, but three points on Norway that also played four games.
