Jamshedpur FC Defender Lazar Cirkovic extends a contract with Club for 2025-26 season


Jamshedpur FC announced on Tuesday that Serbian defender Lazar Cirkovic extended his stay at the club for the 2025-26 season.

Cirkovic, who came to the club last year, played a crucial role in the team’s campaign in the Indian Super League and helped the club reach the semi -final. He also played a crucial role in the team that reached the Super Cup final.

«It feels great to continue my journey with Jamshedpur FC. The support of the fans and the trust of the club means a lot for me. Last season gave me a lot of confidence, and I want to build on that to help the team achieve even more success. We have a strong team, and I am enthusiastic to give my best and fight for trophies with the men of Staal, said.

About the renewal of Cirkovic, head coach Steven Dias said: «Lazar was one of our most reliable players last season, and his leadership and calmness on the field gave us a lot of confidence as a team. He will be a big boost again, especially with the intensity of the Super Cup. His experience will help our younger players and stability to squadium.»

Cirkovic, who made 19 performances for Chennaiyin FC before moving to Jamshedpur, also twice won the Serbian First Division and Serbian Cup with FK Partizan Belgrade of 2014-17, including a double in the 16-17 season.

He has experience in the UEFA Europa League and Champions League qualifications, apart from representing Serbia at the international level of youth.
