Jamshedpur FC started signing Nishu Kumar after confirming Jayesh Rane for the coming season

Jamshedpur FC will probably sign the Indian full-back Nishu Kumar and after confirming the arrival of Jayesh Rane for the coming season.

The club is in an advanced stage of negotiations with Nishu, which was seen on training with the Jameshedpur FC team, as confirmed by Sports star.

Nishu, a product of the Aiff Elite Academy, made his senior debut with the then I-League side Bengaluru FC in 2015. He spent five seasons with the Blues, winning four trophies-the Indian Super League (ISL), the I-League, the Federation Cup and the Federation Cup.

He helped the Blasters to reach the ISL final of 2022, but left for East Bengal in 2023, where he won the Super Cup a year later -the first trophy of the club in 12 years.

«Thank you, East -Bengal FC. It has been a privilege to wear the red and gold and to be part of such a historical club,» Nishu wrote on social media. «Thankful for the coaches, teammates, employees and especially the fans who stood everywhere with us. It is really special to experience the football culture. There are so many moments that I will always cherish.»

In the meantime, Rane joined Jamshedpur on a free transfer after he was released by Mumbai City FC. The 32-year-old is a triple ISL Cup winner-with Chennaiyin FC (2015), ATK (2019-20) and Mumbai City (2023-24) and also won the I-League (2016-17) and the Durand Cup with ATK.

Rane’s biggest moment in the ISL came in Mumbai City, where his two assists, who came as a replacement in the semi-final of 2023-24 against FC Goa, fueled a 3-2 comeback victory.

Rane will reunite with coach Jamil in Jamshedpur, including the i-League.

Both players are expected to sign short -term contracts with Jamshedpur FC. The club remains hesitant in recording long -term contracts for new signing sessions this summer due to the constant uncertainty around the ISL.
