Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham will miss around a month of action after suffering a hamstring injury during Sunday’s 2-1 La Liga win over Rayo Vallecano, the club confirmed.
The 22-year-old English midfielder was forced off after nine minutes at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Bellingham stopped awkwardly while chasing a long ball and immediately grabbed the back of his left thigh. Despite walking off the field, he was visibly upset and left the field in tears.

The injury comesat a crucial point in the season forsecond-placed Real Madrid, who are one point ahead of leaders Barcelona in the standings.
In Bellingham’s absence, Madrid face a challenging schedule, starting with an away match to Valencia next Sunday.
Perhaps most importantly, Bellingham is expected to miss the two-legged Champions League knockout match against Portuguese side Benfica later this month.
