Kingsley Coman joins Cristiano Ronaldo in Al Nassr after leaving Bayern Munich


Kingsley Coman leaves Bayern Munich after a trophy fulfilled decade to participate in Cristiano Ronaldo at Saudi-Arab club Al-Nassr.

Bayern announced the transfer at the end of Friday. Kicker Magazine reported a reimbursement of a maximum of 35 million euros ($ 41 million) for the French winger.

Coman, who scored the winning goal of Bayern against Paris Saint-Germain in the 2020 Champions League final, will be part of a star-up line-up with Ronaldo, colleague New Signing João Félix and Coman’s former Bayern teammate Sadio.

Al-Nassr wants to improve after third place in the Saudi Pro League last season and signed Ronaldo in a two-year contract extension in June. Former Barcelona defender Iñigo Martínez joined a free transfer last week.

The departure of Coman from Bayern comes two weeks after the German champion Luis Díaz from Liverpool signed, the Coman’s competition for places intensively. He got a long distance from Bayern coach Vincent Kompany after they had won the Bundesliga together last season.

«If a player is so successful as he leaves the club, it is always a bit emotional,» Kompany said earlier Friday.

«You must understand his position in this situation and what he would like. It is now important for me that we look ahead and that we show a lot of respect for Kingsley Coman, for what he did for this club,» he added.

Coman has won the German title nine times at Bayern since his first arrival on loan from Juventus in 2015. Despite that success, the 29-year-old winger was struggling for playing time last season and was often used as a bank player by Kompany, even before the arrival of Díaz.

Last season, Coman had nine goals in 45 games in all matches and the second experienced Bayern is ahead to leave after Leroy Sané had left Turkey on a free transfer, even after missing playing time.
