La Liga 2025-26: Mbappe is shining while 10-man Real Madrid holds for 2-1 victory at Real Sociedad

Kylian Mbappe scored and offered the assist for Arda Guler when Real Madrid has passed a second half of the Real Socidad with 2-1, so that his perfect La Liga-Start was maintained despite playing most of the game with 10 men.

The visitor started with a flying start with Mbappe who opened the score of a fast counter in the 12th minute, but the task became considerably more difficult when defender Dean Huijsen was shown a straight red card after the half hour before the falsification of Mikel Oyarzabal as the last man.

Despite the numerical disadvantage, Real Madrid doubled his lead just before half -time when Guler scored up close after a great Run by Mbappe who brilliantly put the ball on a plate for the Turkish midfielder in a busy box.

Real Sociedad pulled one back with Mikel Oyarzabal from the penalty spot in the 56th minute after a handball by Dani Carvajal, but the visitor held up for a hard -fought victory that will keep it later on Saturday of La Liga.

The defeat leaves Winless Real Sociedad in 17th place with two points, only one place above the relegation zone.
