Let’s talk about equipment: the walk

We are about to begin

Things are getting serious. This month I will begin my first of many steps on the Pacific Crest Trail, but first, let’s talk gear!

My favorite topic: team

As a nerd on this topic, I must say that it is an endless topic. There are so many brands, reviews, and styles, but which one is best for me?

The truth is, when it comes to equipment, you never know. Everyone has to try things for themselves to find out what really works.

For simplicity, I will only talk about the equipment that fits my budget and comfort. I’m not saying it’s the best nor do I recommend it to anyone else. That being said, if you’d like more opinions or personal feedback on my setup, feel free to text me on Instagram. @outwithtavo.

So, here is my current team setup. Some things are still up in the air, but overall, this is what I’ll be taking with me when I hit the PCT:

*I purchased all of this equipment myself and am not affiliated with any brand. That said, I’m open to affiliations and sponsorships, just saying! :)) *

Here is the most detailed one. list of my equipment with the indicated weight. Some images do not include everything listed as they are still on the way.

I plan to update you along the way, as well as when I’m done, to see what exactly I would have done differently.

But for now, we’re ready.

Happy trails!
