Ligue 1 2025-26: Late winner from Goncalo Ramos powers Paris Saint-Germain past Nice

Substitute Goncalo Ramos headed home from a corner in the final seconds of stoppage time as Ligue 1 leaders Paris Saint-Germain recorded a 1-0 home win against Nice on Saturday.

With the final move of the match, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia headed in a right corner and Ramos nodded in from close range to save PSG a fourth draw in five games.

Coach Luis Enrique missed injured striker Désiré Doué, and started with Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembélé on the bench on Tuesday ahead of the Champions League match against Bayern Munich.

PSG dominated the game, but struggled to create chances against well-organized Nice in the first half. Midfielder Vitinha’s powerful shot was well saved by Nice goalkeeper Yéhvann Diouf halfway through the second half.

Ramos hit the post in the 80th minute and had Diouf’s point-blank header knocked over in the fourth minute of stoppage time.

But Diouf was let down by his defense in the ensuing corner and Ramos – often used as an impact substitute – marked his 100th appearance for PSG with his 38th goal.

«He is a very important player for us because he is ready in every match, whether he starts or not,» said Luis Enrique. “Five minutes of Gonçalo on the pitch is five minutes of quality.”

PSG remained two points ahead of Marseille, who moved above Monaco into second place thanks to a hard-fought 1-0 win over struggling Auxerre. Monaco fell four points behind PSG after losing 1-0 at home to Paris FC.

England midfielder Angel Gomes gave Marseille the lead in the 30th minute with a low shot after goalkeeper Donovan Léon failed to properly handle a cross.

Marseille were reduced to ten players midway through the second half when defender Ulisses Garcia was sent off for a high challenge on Josué Casimir.

After Marseille goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli made a couple of important saves towards the end, Auxerre defender Sinaly Diomandé was sent off in stoppage time for a foul on Igor Paixao as he raced through.

Nigerian winger Mosen Simon scored for Paris FC early in the second half and goalkeeper Kevin Trapp denied Monaco midfielder Maghnes Akliouche moments later with his outstretched right foot.

Heading into this weekend’s round of 11, the top six teams were separated by just two points. They have not been this close since the start of the 2010/11 season, won by Lille.

Strasbourg, Lyon and Lens can all move level with Marseille on 22 points if they win their matches on Sunday.

Strasbourg is located in Rennes; Lens host Lorient; and Lyon travels to Brest.
