With Lionel Messi set to land in Hyderabad on December 13, the GOAT Tour promoters on Tuesday headed to the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, the proposed venue of the GOAT Cup.
Parvathi Reddy, chief patron and advisor, and Satadru Dutta, chief promoter of the GOAT Tour India, were in the stands along with Christopher Flannery and Pablo Negre, Lionel Messi’s international tour advisor and personal manager, respectively. Dr. Rohin Reddy, who is part of the coordination committee, was also present.
The quartet got to tour the venue and also soak up the atmosphere, with over 10,000 fans turning up for Baroda’s clash with Punjab in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
“The delegation came today to check the grounds, mainly the entrances and exits. They also discussed what programs will be there during the event and other details, as well as the security measures that will be taken,” said Dr. Rohin Reddy. Sports stars.
Besides a practice football match, which will be kicked off by Messi and Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, the former Barcelona star, who now plays for Inter Miami in Major League Soccer, will also hold a football clinic for some budding youngsters.
Stars from the film industry are also expected to grace the event, with cultural programs on the cards. The festivities are expected to end at 9 pm after which the 38-year-old will leave for Mumbai the next morning for the third leg of the tour.
