Frimpong arrived in Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen as the first signing of Arne Slot since winning the Premier League.

How much did Jeremie Frimpong cost?
Frimpong cost Liverpool around USD 40 million. The club activated its release clause of € 35 million (£ 29.6 million; $ 40 million), with the costs that are paid in three episodes in three installments for three years.

Frimpong spent nine years in Manchester City as a youth player before making his senior debut in 2019 at Celtic, which won Scottish premiership in his first season.

«The Premier League is the best competition in the world. I grew up in Manchester, so I always wanted to come back. It was always the plan,» Frimpong said.
