Liverpool vs Everton: David Moyes bewildered by three -minute stopping time in MerseSide Derby

Everton manager David Moyes criticized the duration of the stop time that was awarded to Liverpool in the 1-2 defeat on his part in the Premier League on Saturday.

Moyes was left fake by the decision to allocate only three minutes at the end of 90 minutes in Anfield, while Everton pursued a late equalizer pointlessly.

«Three minutes was very strange. Every fast free kick had to be stopped and brought back for the whistle and then we get a booking for it. I find it quite incredible,» said Moyes after the game.

Everton midfielder Jack Grealisk shared the frustration of his coach and was booked in the aftermath of the draw for excessive complaining at Darren England, the referee on the field.

“We couldn’t get the last goal and it was frustrating in the second half, they tried to slow the game occasionally. I have never seen a player in my entire life booked a quick free kick. I don’t know where that rule came in. Even the stop time, three minutes and a minute I never seen in the Premier League in the last two or three years.

«There were frustrations with the referee. Sometimes you want to let the game go, I understand that completely, but you can’t give us anything and then two seconds later one of their defenders goes down after he is touched in the back and he gives it,» said Grealish TNT -SPORT.

Grealisk has had a significant impact on Everton with four assists in his first five games, after he had been on loan with the team at Manchester City in the summer transfer window.

The 30-year-old has credited Moyes because he has rejected his love for the game. «I thank (Everton -Baas David Moyes) for giving my love back, and waking up on a competition day and wanting to smile and play again. And the fans too, they have been so good with me.»
