Peekaboo Boo-Bears!
We are walking through the Four Peaks Wilderness. Our mission is to reach Lake Roosevelt to resupply.
Day 16:
It’s the 16th! Less elevation. Big hooray! Last night where we cowboys camped, it was wet and humid. One less haha. But I didn’t kick Aquarius last night, so it’s okay. The yay is back!
Oh dear, team.
I have a black diamond headlamp that Truck bought me in a hiking town a while ago. It’s blue and has a big bright light (which is white) and a small white light. There is a feature where you can activate both. And… best of all, a red light. So many options.
My challenge for the day is to drink 2 liters of water throughout the day. 🐦🔥
I have a blister on the scar on my foot. No, no, no, no.
That’s all for today and I didn’t complete the challenge. Oops. 🙊 🚫

Day 17:
I woke up this morning with some desire to get going. But we still left at 7:30 or so. Shoot. I only have one more bagel breakfast so I had to grab a Clif bar instead. Not so good. We went up and then down and up and down and a lot of that. I had a lot of PUDs today* I was ready for break at 10:00. Haha 🤣
Lunch! My lunch was tuna 🍣 I don’t have many more snacks as we get closer to resupply day, so I need to save what I have.

There was a lot of elevation today…like a lot. 😳 We walked towards the Four Peaks Desert. Lots of nice views again!
I didn’t set a challenge, sorry, I forgot. But I have an Oh Dear, Gear. Now I’m putting on my waterproof jacket. It’s pink! Colombia, it’s good. It is not very breathable, but it protects from the rain. 😌
And for dinner I had Mac. The best. The best dinner of my life. I also had a package of Nutella 🌰 for dessert. Mmmm, mmm 😋
Ok, that’s it, I see you in my dreams, I love you very much. Xoxo
*PUD: useless ups and downs

Day 18:
We woke up to a beautiful sunrise around 5am and hit the trail at 6am. We were headed to Roosevelt Marina to resupply and wanted to get into town as early as possible and still had 17 miles to go. We got ahead of Aquarius, so we took a break and thought he might catch up to us. But he didn’t do it. There were many small mosquitoes flying around us. The annoying thing was that they could fly through the insect nets. 😬

It took them forever to get to the marina. When we got there, a Trail Angel picked us up (the TA’s name is Scott!) and took us back to Rosie’s Place, the name of their hiker’s paradise. We got the bunk bed (a nice room with a bed!). Then they took us to the IGA and found some healthy foods. I have killer bread from Dave. I totally recommend staying at Rosie’s Place (you can find them on IG) because there is a cute cat named Andy.
We had an amazing night and left early in the morning! See you tomorrow in the next post.
