Malaysia is rising to the highest FIFA rankings in 19 years among the former right-hand man of Postcoglou


Malaysia continued his rise in men’s football with a historic climb in the latest FIFA rankings that were released on 10 July.

The Malaya Tiger Climbed from 131 to 125 in the last classification, the highest in 19 years. The last time it was arranged was so high in February 2006.

Plays under head coach Peter Cklamovski, who was assistant coach to play Postecoglou during his Stint with the Socceroos at the AFC Asian Cup 2015, won Malaysia and lost a competition in the international window of June.

Cklamovski took over the side last year and although Malaysia has lost a friendly against Cape Verde among him, it still has to lose a competitive game among him.

It started the year with a victory over Nepal, but earned valuable ranking points with a victory over Vietnam with a higher-ranked Vietnam in the third round of AFC Asian Cup qualifications.

The Malaya Tiger Will now travel to Uzbekistan for the Cafa Nations Cup next month. They play Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Iran in the group stage and are planned to face Laos in the Asian Cup qualifications in October.
