South African giants Zambia will open their Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025 campaign when they take on Mali in the Group A match in Morocco on Monday.
Zambia is a three-time AFCON finalist and has won the title once, in 2012. Meanwhile, Mali finished third in 2012 and 2013, while its best performance came in 1972 when it reached the final.
