Manchester United wins the summer series title in the first start for Mbeumo; Bruno -Scores


Bruno Fernandes scored one goal and set up another as Manchester United Drew Everton 2-2 on Sunday to capture the Premier League Summer Series title.

The Red Devils earned a last point in Atlanta around the table with seven in the pre-season friendly tournament, after he had previously defeated West Ham with 2-1 and Bournemouth 4-1 in the Round-Robin US Tour.

«It improves,» said Fernandes Sky Sports after the game. “I think the club does the best they can.

«We needed more competition for the players who were here. We needed more quality to get everyone a little more, to do more to get into the first 11. I think that is what the club is trying to do, the manager, and hopefully we can get one or two players to help with that.»

Manchester United ended 15th in the Premier League last season- the worst shows since the relegation in 1973-74, with only 11 wins and nine treks of 38 games.

«I think many people have been bothered by this,» said Fernandes. “The fans pay more for the tickets, and we really appreciate all the efforts they make for us.

«So it’s up to us, now players, to pay it back on the field.»

Fernandes said the club is working to improve the team and the staff, to the facilities.

«It is every detail. Every little thing matters,» said Fernandes. “At this football club you can’t do anything wrong on the field and outside the field because it is too big worldwide.

«The culture of this club was winning. It was there. And we have to bring that back.»

James Tarkowski van Everton brought Amad Diallo down in the penalty area, and Fernandes shot in the shot from the place to lift Man United ahead with 1-0 in the 19th minute.

The Senegalese international Iliman Ndiaye, born in France, was equated with the toffees in the 40th minute and tapped a pass by Senegal’s Idrissa Gana Gueye.

Mason Mount, who came into the field just 10 minutes earlier, took a pass from Fernandes and curled in a shot along Jordan Pickford in the 69th minute to put Manchester United in front again.

But Everton drew the level in the 75th minute when a ball sent back by Diallo, the Ayden Heaven of Manchester United remained to the back of United’s just for its own goal.

Manager Ruben Amorim placed newcomer Bryan Mbeumo in his starting line-up, the arrival of Brentford missed earlier competitions to complete the training for the season.

Diouf Sparks West Ham

Niclas Fullkrug and Jarrod Bowen scored to lift West Ham United with 2-0 earlier with 2-0, giving the London Side two wins from three games in the Premier League Summer Series.

Spot-on set-up passes from Senegalese left back El Hadji Malick Diouf, only signed on July 15, led to both West Ham goals.

«Both goals are on him, the quality he has, you can see that,» Bowen said about Diouf. “He has only been here for a few weeks, but you would think he’s been here for years.

«He is modest. He is a brilliant guy for the group, and he is clearly also a brilliant football player. We are very enthusiastic to see what he can continue to do here.»

Diouf’s centering ball found the Bowen of England in the box, but he was forced to move a pass from left to the German teammate Fullkrug, who shot in a shot of a point-blank range in the 24th minute.

Bowen thought it was just in the 67th minute of a Diouf pass.

Bournemouth had many opportunities in the first 15 minutes, but the Cherry Found the woodwork to waste early chances.

«What I liked was the character about the group. We didn’t have the best start we wanted, but we stayed there,» Bowen said.
