Lake Gros-Ruisseau to Lake Beaulieu
In Michigan, we have what is probably the best small -island Russian mountain park in the world. It is rightly called, Michigan’s adventure. Growing up, I don’t remember whether it was radio or television, but his advertising song said: «Michigan’s Adventure … two parks for the price of one!» It was very catchy. You will see, they also had an aquatic park. All of that is irrelevant. I tell you this because today’s walk felt like one of its Russian mountains, trembling wood.
Throughout this trip, on numerous occasions (maybe even yesterday’s publication?), I compared the path with a roller coaster. There was even a stretch in Virginia or North Carolina or something in which the trail of trails called it «the roller coaster.» Well, all those are imitators compared to chic-chocs. Look at this today’s walking profile …
It is not very different from this, huh?

Schiving Timbers is a wooden roller coaster and I think the first «big» I rode. Essentially, it is placed in the largest hill, then falls and you make a series above and down before curving at miles away and returning and doing the same up and down. There are very few curves, mainly just a straight shot. These chic-chocs feel that way. And they are relentlessly steep.
Thinking, everything was soaked. I tried the first bit to use my trekking posts to push the brush aside, but it was nothing. Finally, shoes and socks were saturated.
As I climbed above, I felt that I was entering a cloud. I could see white steam things turning, blowing from one side. It is really great to witness sometimes, but any vision is removed that could otherwise be seen on a clear day.

Some of the promotions with which I have been dealing here on the way to 3,051 feet Mont Pointu.
I hoped that things could clarify while hung on the top, so I took some breakdown there. There was a time when there were a few seconds of cleaning in one direction, but then entered again. Obtaining a cell service for the first time in a long time, some phone things also absorb me.

Pointu was a bit pointed. He was also steep on the other side.
The next was Mont Craggy. He had looked at this from the beginning simply by name. I imagine it can be rocky and have some unique characteristics. It was great, but it is still cloudy. However, more and more opening glimpses began to pass beyond it.
The next on the trip was Mont Blanc. This also caught my attention when I was investigating this section for some reason. Something about his name made me think it would be something special. Honestly, I was probably associated with Mont Blanc in Europe, which I think is one of the highest peaks in the Alps. Whatever the reason for my high expectations, I was anxious to see it.

Upon reaching this little stream, I filled my water supplies. I had the feeling that this morning was combined with the cloudy fog reminded me of the Pacific Crest Trail in Washington. I was looking where he was going, but he was hidden out of sight.
To help me take Mont Blanc, I recruited the sounds of the Canadian legend, Stompin ‘Tom Conners. My family has a strange story with songs of this type that date back to when my older brother was in fifth grade and had a Canadian student teacher. The story tells, played the children some of the melodies, including «Bud the Spud», of the brilliant red mud of Prince Eduardo Island, and classics such as «The Hockey Song». It was a fun setback for me and I approached the mountain.

As I approached the top, I realized that there were some spectacular things of Cliffy rocks, but unfortunately, I was still covered with the mist..
At the point where things were leveled, I sat more or less on the road and lunch. I hope that it could clear and finally, I was starting to do it!

I had been about 50 meters from this beautiful bank when I took my rest to have lunch on the ground. I just didn’t know that it existed.
I also ran into people there. There was a guy in an ATV with Loppers doing a job of paths and also a family of three that seemed to be on a one -day walk. Apart from two groups of two yesterday near Lake Matane, I don’t think I have seen other hikers. Before a brief way, in what seemed like Mont Blanc’s royal summit, it was a super pleasant and new -looking refuge. Unfortunately, I was not staying in this beauty.
After Mont Blanc, I only had 3.3 miles to walk for the day. Maybe some of you noticed the brief mileage at the top. That is the way the cookie collapsed this time with my reservations. And it was very good with that.
Continuing, things opened and the eyes were called with a wonderful scene. Mountains on mountains gets in front of me and looking west, there was my old friend St. Lawrence. I also ran into Sebastian, an hiker of the IAT section of Quebec. It was fun to chat with him.
I mean, spectacular, is I right?

When I started the IAT, I noticed these signs that are published every kilometer. I think the first one I noticed was 493 and they have been counting down. I guess in Cap Gaspe, it will be zero!

Beaulieu Lake from above.
Once until the lake, I found the shelter in which I had reserved a place. This time, I had some others. I met Stephen, who was making a considerable section of IAT and Marie, who was out during the weekend. Although I had reserved my place inside, I looked at one of the campaign platforms for the night. However, when they were configured, more hikers were shown and it turned out that they had reserved it, so it was inside the shelter for me.
Once again I had a good amount of time in the camp. It was nice to rest and hang, especially with other people to vary. I put myself on my head. The path has been hard here and even with my short days, I was fighting. This was in my mind, but I had not been too deeply in it.
Thanks for joining the trip! It means a lot that you took the time to read these adventures. I love spending time and connecting to the natural world and I am very grateful for these experiences. However, not everyone has the resources to do so.
So, if you want to help all children to get outdoors, a cause that means a lot to me, please help me support Empowerment with outdoors! The «Council author» button is a direct link to my fund collection page. You are really incredible. Thank you!
